God & Love

Before time and form all was emptiness and there was nothing. There was only god who filled all the empty space with eternal and overflowing love. Bathala was god and Sinta was god's love.

Bathala wanted to transform the universe. Give it substance and form - reate elements and creatures. Provide a world of play and delight - with color and texture, sound and movement. Sinta loved this and together they worked tirelessly to make it so.

God took his energy and breathed matter into his creation - molding it like clay into many distinct forms. Love took her energy and breathed light into their surroundings - watching it soar and float all around.

Bathala formed the earth into a huge ball and filled it with all sorts of flora and fauna. Sinta breathed life and fresh growth into every new form.

God formed the Sun and Love brought warmth and light to the day. God shaped the Moon and Stars and Love made them shine in the now brilliant night sky. Together they gathered other planets to spin in orbit.

Bathala made plants big and small to fill the mountains and valleys. Sinta provided the rivers and oceans that brought water and rain to nourish and nurture their growth.

They gazed upon the new world they created together and were pleased with all they saw and with their labors. They hugged each other tight and laughed out loud. This all made them so happy.

Where Bathala's shadow fell, the first men stepped out of the earth. Where Sinta's light shown, the first women floated down from the air.

Where he raced up in the heavens the skies would be streaked with lightning. Where he called out to his love the skies would rumble with thunder.

Where she flew up to the sky the wind and the clouds swirled, surrounding her. Gentle breezes wafting and soft rain falling at times. Wild storms whipping and crashing waves pounding other times.

For a very long time, Bathala and Sinta lived among the people. There was honor for all of creation by all the created creatures. Life was good and bountiful.

Bathala and Sinta roamed their domain, carried in the wind and seen overhead in the shooting stars. All were satisfied and fulfilled as even more years passed.

With more form, more things came and went, more things changed constantly. As the people grew in number and strength, matured and gained knowledge, they began to wander the world and search for more.

Always more, even though more was not always better. As humanity got the hang of things and hang around more, Bathala and Sinta receded and seceded more and more. Until the people lost both god and love.

With foundation and compass gone, what were they to do? Left to their own devices, how would they go on living? Will they continue to evolve? Will they go on expanding? How will they achieve this?

This continues to be the quest throughout the ages. Consumers or guardians. Abusers or regenerators? Let us all hope we do better this time.
